BRAND VISUAL IDENTITY + BRANDED NFT DESIGN
At the height of the NFT craze, CNN devised a subdivision, Vault, with the intent of selling real news clips and media as tradable NFTs, both static and video. From (year-year), Vault sold the most memorable media segments from the CNN archives, as well as work from partnered photojournalists and even custom art NFTs reflecting on notable cultural moments. Vault also took to social (Discord, Instagram) to discuss and propagate knowledge on Web3 and digital markets. The social content can be found here.
CNN BREAKS INTO WEB3 AND NFTS
I was tasked devisin a sub-brand visual identity for Vault, including the templates for their branded NFTs, as well as a social look and feel (and actual content) for Vault’s Instagram, which aimed to educate users on Web3
The end result blends classic archival material formatting with modern design trend, so the templates may remain secondary and respectful to the at times heavy subject matter, while still appealing to Web3's primary Gen Z base.
